What can a person a person say about Harvest Moon, well, some might say it's an addictive and fun game while others would say it's a boring piece of crap, it depends on your taste in games. In Harvest Moon you have to literally *work*. The day is very short, but the night lasts forever (until you go to sleep), too bad it gets so dark, if you have a good monitor or TV it shouldn't be much of a problem, although on my old monitor (and damaged) I couldn't see anything at night in the game except if I look deep in the monitor, so the better monitor you have, the better you see in nigh time in the game.

The graphics are cartoony (kind of anime style), but good, the sound is also great, too bad the music to it on sunny days is a bit irritating, although on rainy days or stormy days you get totally into it, the sound effect for the rain is awesome. The controls are easy, you can get used to them in a short time, plus you can assign tools to them, any way you want.

As for fun, well it's a Real Farm Simulator and has elements of an RPG game, doesn't sound like too much fun but it is, you can get girlfriends, get married, have children, make large sums of money, and also depending on how you we're in the game you get a different ending, making it a game to play again and again until you get the most perfect score you can.

Now in this ROM version if you have a slow comp. (very old like, 32 mb ram Pentium 1 stuff) and you're running a bunch of programs or things like that, Harvest Moon may slow down, it happened on my old Pentium 2, 32 mb one, when I had a lot of stuff on it, not too serious though, and it usually clears up in a bit, but in case the game slows down at some times, now you know why.

However, back to the game… if you're one of those people who thinks a game based on real life would be cool, or if you like RPG's where you have to train lots, then you'll love Harvest Moon, be warned, in this game you need lots of patience and if you're into it, prepare to be sucked in hours of playing this game.
