Alex Kidd, Sega's original hero. You play the character himself, a young boy out on a quest for knowledge and revenge against the evils done towards his family.

Alex Kidd was a great game, especially when the 'Sega Master System 2' came out as the 'Miracle World' adventure had been built in on the machine, so the first game anyone ever played was this!

Action and Adventure built together gives this game a great feel. This is basically a platformer, in which you go throughout a whole map of places before finally reaching your target castle where you battle to seek revenge against the misfortunes you have encountered. Along the way you will meet with both friends and foes, the friends will guide you, and obviously the foes will fight you! The most used in this game are the shop keeper, who acts as a friend and whom sells you items that you will need along the way, in return for money you have picked up in your journey. The most well known enemies are the three henchmen; these guys challenge you to a duel of 'paper, scissors and stone', with a best out of three performance, whoever wins progresses further. If you loose enough times its back to the beginning for you!

The graphics in this game are quite cute, and it is accompanied by a sweet little music beat. Sound effects include punches, jumps, and anything else you would expect in a game of this type. Along the way you will find treasures such as extra lives and items that you will need later on. The control's are really simple as the 'Master System' only had two buttons, one is for jump and the other for punch.

This is the first game I ever played on my 'Master System 2' and I recommend it to any gamer, young or old!
